Roxy Howe disguises herself as a man named Doug Howe to fight alongside Marshal Samuel Craig. After being arrested for kissing him—while still in disguise—she must enter a blind marriage to remain in Lorne, unaware that her mysterious pen pal is Samuel himself. Thus begins the shared life of Roxy and Samuel, as they navigate misunderstandings, protect the land, and slowly uncover each other's true identities.
